How to delete your account

Email privacy@fit4game.com from the email address linked to your account (if you sign in with Google or Apple — from the address you use with that provider). If you hide your email with Sign in with Apple, write from any address and include your username — we will ask you to confirm.
Use the subject “Delete Fit4Game account” and include your username in the message.
We will confirm receipt by email and give you the date on which the data will be permanently deleted. You do not need to have the app installed.

If you no longer have access to the account’s email address, write from another address and describe the situation — we will ask for additional proof of identity.

What happens after your request

Without undue delay after we receive your request: we hide the account from other users and invalidate its sign-in sessions — within 15 minutes of deactivation, the account is signed out on all devices.
Apple consent revoked: if you sign in with Apple, we revoke the app’s access to your Apple ID at the time of the request when you delete the account in the app (this will be available soon), and when the request comes by email — at erasure, after the 30 days.
For 30 days from the request (grace period): the account data is not yet deleted, but the account is invisible to others. Signing in during this time — with your password, through Google or Apple, or by completing a password reset or email verification — cancels the deletion and restores the account. During the grace period your email address and username stay taken.
Email with the date: once we accept the request, we send a message with the date of permanent deletion to the address linked to the account (not only to the person who wrote to us about it). If someone else made the request, this is a warning for you: sign in before that date to cancel the deletion.
After the 30 days: we permanently delete the account data: the account with its email address, username and password, profile, links to your Google or Apple account, workouts, records and statistics, training plans, custom exercises, posts together with all the threads under them, likes, follows, guild memberships, badges and achievements, notifications, notification tokens, connections to Strava and Garmin, data from wearable devices, and sign-in session records (tokens). We delete expired sign-in session records no later than 7 days after they expire.
What stays without your authorship: your comments under other people’s posts — they stay with the author shown as “Deleted account”. We only remove the attribution of the comment to you; the text of the comment stays as you wrote it, so anything that identifies you which you wrote in it stays too. If you want, delete such comments before deleting your account. Guilds and challenges you created stay without a named creator. If you led a guild, the leader role passes to the longest-standing member, and a guild left with no other member disappears together with its challenges.
After erasure: we send no further message (we do not keep your address in the mail queue) and no trace of the account remains in the database — the email address and username are free again.
What remains: server and API application logs containing the IP address, deleted automatically by rotation (server logs after 14 days, application logs once they exceed 5 files of 10 MB), Cloudflare logs per Cloudflare’s rules, and — if we make database backups — backups kept for no longer than 30 days. We keep our correspondence with you about the deletion for up to 12 months as evidence that the request was fulfilled.

Deleting some of your data

If you want to delete selected content (for example posts or profile data) without deleting the account, email privacy@fit4game.com — we will do it within the same time frame.

Deleting your account in the app

We are working on account deletion directly in the app. Until then, the email route above is the only way.
